KUALA LUMPUR -- China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) has recently joined efforts to provide relief assistance and transportation of essential supplies to local communities that have been hit by the recent flood.

With the east coast state of Pahang being the worst affected, CCCC, which is the main contractor of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and Malaysia Rail Link (MRL), the project's owner, have reached out to the state authorities to offer flood relief assistance, the two companies said on Monday.(Malaysia-China-Flood relief)

MANILA -- The Philippines has logged a total number of 489,736 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with the report of 2,052 new daily infections on Monday, the highest since Dec. 18.

The Department of Health (DOH) said in its daily bulletin that the death toll climbed to 9,416 after 11 more patients died from the coronavirus epidemic. It added that 10 more patients recovered, raising the total number of recoveries to 458,206.(Philippines-COVID-19)

JAKARTA -- The Indonesian government on Monday decided to extend its travel restrictions for foreign nationals for another two weeks amid COVID-19 concerns, a senior minister said.

SEOUL -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Monday that his government can hold dialogue with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) anytime, anywhere and even in a contactless way.
