BANGKOK, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Two crew members on Thai navy's HTMS Chakri Naruebet aircraft carrier have tested positive for COVID-19, with 273 others being quarantined and tested for the virus, said a navy admiral on Monday.

The 273 navy soldiers are now in a 14-day quarantine at seaside lodging units at the Sattahip naval base in Chonburi province, where the aircraft carrier is based, according to navy spokesman Vice Adm. Chettha Jaipiam.

The two soldiers tested positive for COVID-19 after they visited a beer bar in Si Racha district of the eastern province, about 68 km north of the Sattahip naval base, with nine other soldiers, who have tested negative, according to the navy spokesman. Enditem
