RAMALLAH, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian official announced on Monday that Palestine is ready to work with the four countries of the Munich Group to revive the stalled peace process with Israel.

Deputy Chairman of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah Movement Mahmoud el-Aloul told Xinhua that "the Palestinian leadership is ready to work with the group that includes Egypt, Jordan, France, and Germany."

"Restoring matters to normal depends on establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and the right of return for refugees under international resolutions," el-Aloul said.

The foreign ministers of France, Germany, Egypt, and Jordan met earlier in Cairo to discuss releasing a peace process for resolving conflict between Palestine and Israel based on the two-state solution. Enditem
