SANTIAGO -- Financial analysts in Chile upgraded their economic growth projections for 2021, from the 4.7 percent forecast in December to 5 percent, the Central Bank of Chile said on Tuesday.

According to the bank's Survey of Economic Expectations, analysts forecast smaller 3.2 percent growth in gross domestic product for 2022. (Chile-Economy)

COLOMBO -- Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena had sought the assistance of the foreign diplomatic missions based in Colombo to encourage foreign investors to invest in the island country, a statement from the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

SAN FRANCISCO -- U.S. San Francisco Mayor London Breed on Tuesday announced a 62 million U.S. dollars new plan to provide immediate financial relief for small businesses struggling as a result of COVID-19.
