KABUL -- Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg have held a phone conversation over the peace talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban, the president office said Tuesday.

The two sides on Monday discussed "the Afghan peace process and NATO's continued support for Afghanistan Defense and Security forces," the presidential office said in a brief statement. (Afghanistan-NATO-Peace Process)

NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally rose to 10,581,837 on Tuesday as 10,064 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, said the latest data from the health ministry.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 386 more cases of COVID-19 as of midnight Monday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 73,115.

NEW DELHI -- At least 13 migrant laborers sleeping on a footpath in India's western state of Gujarat were killed and several others injured Tuesday after a truck overran them, police said.

The accident took place early in the morning at Kosamba village, around 245 km south of Gandhinagar, the capital city of Gujarat. (India-Truck-Accident)

ISLAMABAD -- The Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) has approved a vaccine by China's Sinopharm for emergency use amid rising cases of COVID-19 in the country.
