SINGAPORE, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) going up 0.1 percent, or 2.85 points, to close at 2998.77.
A total of 3.48 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.52 billion Singapore dollars (about 1.15 billion U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 302 to 205.
The STI index up 0.18 percent, or 5.52 points, to close at 2995.92 on Tuesday. Enditem
