Afghanistan reports 125 new COVID-19 cases

KABUL, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- A total of 125 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in Afghanistan over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of patients in the country to 54,403, a statement of Public Health Ministry said Wednesday.

The statement said that nine patients died over the period, bringing the number of COVID-19 related deaths to 2,363.

A total of 205 patients have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of recoveries to 46,759 in Afghanistan, the statement added. Enditem
