BEIJING, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The following are the indices of major stock markets in Asia on Thursday.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,621.26 points, up 38.17 points, or 1.07 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 15,520.60 points, up 297.24 points, or 1.95 percent.
The Hang Seng Index closed at 29,927.76 points, down 34.71 points, or 0.12 percent.
The S&P/ASX 200 index closed at 6,823.70 points, up 53.30 points, or 0.79 percent.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average closed at 28,756.86 points, up 233.60 points, or 0.82 percent.
The Straits Times Index closed at 3,017.15 points, up 18.38 points, or 0.61 percent.
