Singapore reports 38 new COVID-19 cases

SINGAPORE, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 38 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 59,235.

The new cases include four community cases and 34 imported ones. Of the local cases, one is currently untraceable and three are linked to previous cases.

On Thursday, 33 more patients of COVID-19 infection have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities after recovery. In all, 58,959 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, the ministry said.

There are currently 43 confirmed cases who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and one is in critical condition in the intensive care unit. Enditem
