LONDON, Jan.21 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Thursday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.37 percent, or 24.97 points, to close at 6,715.42 points.

Sage Group, a British multinational enterprise software company, soared 4.92 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Just Eat Takeaway and Ocado Group increased by 4.87 percent and 4.00 percent, respectively.

Rolls-Royce Holdings, a UK-based engineering company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 3.82 percent.
