ANKARA, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Turkish security forces on Friday detained at least 29 Islamic State (IS) suspects across Turkey, semi-official Anadolu Agency reported.

Four Syrian and 10 Iraqi nationals were among the nabbed suspects in the Black Sea province of Samsun, and some digital materials were also seized in the police search.

Separately, 10 suspects were detained after the prosecutors in Ankara issued arrest warrants as part of a probe launched in three provinces over information that suspects were delivering financial aid to the relatives of IS members who were killed in fights in Syria and Iraq.

Ankara prosecutor's office said the suspects committed a murder in 2018 on behalf of the group. The police found a list of executions of five more people in searches made in the houses of the suspected group members, the local NTV broadcaster reported.

Meanwhile, Turkish police detained three other IS suspects in southeastern Kahramanmaras province, and two others in southern Mersin province, the Anadolu Agency said. They were allegedly organizing illegal crossings through Turkish borders to help IS members reach Europe.

Turkey has been subject to the attacks of the IS, with 315 people killed and hundreds more injured in at least 10 suicide bombings, seven bomb attacks, and four armed assaults.

Turkey's anti-terror teams have lately intensified their raids against the group members as part of their efforts to expose the activities of the IS in the country. Enditem
