WASHINGTON -- White House economic adviser Brian Deese said Friday that the United States risks falling into a "very serious economic hole" without decisive action, urging the Congress to approve more COVID-19 relief as soon as possible.

BUENOS AIRES -- The first and third phases of Chinese-constructed Loma Blanca Wind Power Projects officially launched commercial operation on Friday, injecting energy into the national power grid.

SANTIAGO -- Latin America and the Caribbean's foreign trade in 2020 saw its worst performance since the 2008 global financial crisis, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on economies, the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean said Friday.
