PARIS, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- French shares lost on Monday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 down 1.57 percent, or 87.21 points, to close at 5,472.36 points.

Of the 40 selected large companies, 32 lost in the day.

Stellantis N.V., the car company combining PSA Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler, lost 4.50 percent. European multinational aerospace corporation Airbus lost 4.46 percent. French multinational investment bank and financial services company Societe Generale went down by 4.43 percent.

France-based 3D product design company Dassault Systemes advanced 1.61 percent. European commercial real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE rose 0.98 percent. French personal care company L'Oreal rose 0.91 percent. Enditem
