ISLAMABAD -- China and Pakistan on Tuesday launched an online platform to collect and display information and achievements of agricultural and industrial cooperation between the two countries, aiming at enhancing bilateral cooperation under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the two sectors.

The China-Pakistan Agricultural and Industrial Cooperation Information Platform is expected to organize business forums, business delegations and other activities to promote exchanges and cooperation in the field of agriculture and industry, and advance business-to-business cooperation between the two countries. TOKYO -- Japan's lower house of parliament on Tuesday approved a third extra budget for fiscal 2020 with the 19.18 trillion yen (185 billion U.S. dollars) allocation to fund further measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEW DELHI -- India's overall COVID-19 situation continues to improve as the number of new cases registered per day has fallen below the 10,000-mark, and deaths per day have fallen below 120 in over eight months.

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Malaysian government signed a deal on Tuesday to procure 12 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine CoronaVac developed by Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac.

The vaccines would be supplied through Malaysia's leading pharmaceutical company Pharmaniaga following the signing of an agreement between the company and Malaysia's Health Ministry, the Health Ministry said in a statement. (Malaysia-Vaccine) Enditem
