BERLIN, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- The future of Bayern coach Hansi Flick is uncertain due to internal disagreements.

Several media reports speak of the 55-year-old considering leaving if issues regarding the make-up of the squad can't be solved to his satisfaction.

Reports talk of fundamental differences between Flick and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic despite the team opening up a seven-point lead at the top of the league table after the first half of the season.

While Salihamidzic said, the current squad is at top-level speak reports of there being intense disagreement among the coaching staff and several key players.

Flick claims the team's quality has decreased after vital back-ups such as Thiago Alcantara, Ivan Perisic, and Coutinho left last summer.

All eight replacements presented by Salihamidzic have fallen short of expectations. The coach and key players feel the squad's quality is less than the 2020 treble season.

Flick's desire to strengthen the squad with top-class players hasn't been met.

Therefore, reports say Flick is considering leaving despite having a contract that runs to 2023.

The former German national team assistant has received offers from the Premier League and might consider taking over the national team in the case of Joachim Loew's departure after the European Championship.

Flick is said to be concerned about upcoming management changes as former German keeper Oliver Kahn is expected to replace Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as the club's chairman at the end of the year.

Flick's dissatisfaction goes beyond the replacements made last summer but includes the latest turmoil surrounding David Alaba and Jerome Boateng's uncertain futures.

The Bayern coach has demanded top-quality replacements. He admitted to having talked to Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano. The 22-year-old French is said to have an exit clause worth 45 million euros.

Flick said things should be fixed as soon as possible as Upamecano is said to be on the list of several Premier League sides such as Chelsea.

With the Blues appointing German coach, Thomas Tuchel, pressure is mounting on Bayern.

Rummenigge is said to be backing Salihamidzic. The 65-year-old referred to financial difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to their league rivals' disappointing results, Leipzig, Leverkusen, Dortmund, and Moenchengladbach, the Bavarians have a comfortable lead in the Bunddesliga.

Flick claims the good results are based on the efforts of stalwarts like Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Manuel Neuer, Thomas Mueller, and Robert Lewandowski.

The replacements bought by the club have been unable to contribute to the latest upswing and might endanger the club's goals, such repeating the 2020 Champions League win.

The Bayern coach renewed his demand to improve the squad's quality and said he is convinced the club is looking to buy top-class replacements. Flick's statements is increasing the pressure on Rummenigge and Salihamidzic. Enditem
