FRANKFURT, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 250.53 points, or 1.81 percent, to close at 13,620.46 points.
European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero lost the most among the blue chips, down by 4.76 percent, followed by pharmaceutical company Merck and material manufacturer Covestro, which lost 3.67 percent and 3.35 percent respectively.
Telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom was the only winner, rising 0.63 percent.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 516.19 million euros (625.31 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 4.10 percent to close at 2.280 euros per share on Wednesday. Enditem
