5.7-magnitude quake strikes off eastern Indonesia

JAKARTA, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted Indonesia's eastern province of Maluku on Sunday, the meteorology and geophysics agency said here.

The quake hit at 16:44 p.m. local time, with the epicenter located 58 km west of Dobo city, Aru Islands district and a depth of 20 km under sea bed.

The quake did not potentially trigger a tsunami. Enditem
