LONDON, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 0.92 percent, or 58.96 points, to close at 6,466.42 points.
Fresnillo, a Mexican-based precious metals mining company, soared 8.95 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. JD Sports Fashion and Polymetal International increased by 7.04 percent and 5.12 percent, respectively.
