MADRID, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid entertain Getafe in a rearranged La Liga fixture in their Valdebebas training ground on Tuesday.

The game was postponed from the second week of the season due to Real Madrid starting the campaign late after playing in the Champions League during the summer and the fact they were knocked out of the round of 32 in the Copa del Rey allows it to be played now, although with the return of the Champions League next week, maybe coach Zinedine Zidane would prefer to be able to rest his players ahead of their vital visit to face Atalanta, especially bearing in mind a long injury list.

Serio Ramos will be once again sidelined out of action as he begins his recovery from a minor knee operation on Saturday and he is accompanied by Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Odriozola, Lucas Vazquez, Fede Valverde, Rodrygo and Eden Hazard, who are also injured, while Toni Kroos misses the game through suspension.

Isco is available after suffering a back spasm at the weekend but in Monday's training session coach Zinedine Zidane only had 13 members of his first team squad available, two of whom were goalkeepers.

That means Zidane is likely to make up the numbers in Tuesday's squad with players such as Victor Chust and Miguel Gutierrez as they look to keep their slim title hopes alive.

"We have a lot of people out, but that isn't an excuse," said Zidane in his pre-game press conference.

"These are problems that come along and there are a lot of games to play. We need to get our players fit as soon as possible and to recover our strength and energy. Tomorrow is a game in which we can vindicate ourselves once again," commented the coach.

Getafe will be without central defender Djene Dakoman after he was sent off for a bad challenge on Sevilla's Lucas Ocampos in their 3-0 defeat at the weekend and coach Jose Bordalas will also have to watch from the stands after he was shown the red card for a fierce argument with Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui after the incident.
