The whole country are removing the thick snow piling on roads, which caused traffic jams and accidents in the capital in the morning.

A total of 831 units of special equipment, including 138 dump trucks provided by city enterprises and organizations, join snow removal in Minsk's streets, with main highways being their top priority.

The mayor of Minsk demanded constant heat supply.

On Wednesday, the temperature in Belarus will be minus 7-13 degrees Celsius in the day and minus 11-20 degrees Celcius at night.

The Emergency Ministry has said that rescuers are about to introduce an emergency plan as the country braces for more extreme weather -- blizzard, frosts, gusty winds and high humidity. Enditem
