CAIRO, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- The Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit on Wednesday congratulated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the successful entering of its Hope Probe to orbit the Mars as "an educational renaissance."

In a statement, Aboul-Gheit described the move as "an important accomplishment that crowned the accumulation of educational and scientific knowledge sponsored by the government over years."

"The unique space mission will put the Arabs on the world map of success in the scientific field and confirms their capabilities for joining the modern civilization path," the statement added.

On Tuesday, the UAE's first mission to Mars arrived at the planet and successfully entered its orbit. The Emirates Mars Mission, known as the Hope Probe, sent back a signal confirming its orbit entering. Enditem
