BEIJING, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 344 more cases of COVID-19 as of midnight Sunday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 83,869.

The daily caseload stayed below 400 for three straight days due to fewer tests during the Lunar New Year's holiday.

CANBERRA -- Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Monday urged universities to rethink their business models in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Morrison said the pandemic "highlighted a vulnerability" in the tertiary education sector's business model and called for it to adapt to the crash of the lucrative international student market.

BUENOS AIRES -- Argentina reported 4,245 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the national tally to 2,025,798, the health ministry said.

The ministry also reported 48 more deaths from the disease, taking the nationwide death toll to 50,236.

CANBERRA -- Australia's first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines is set to arrive in the country within days.

Minister for Health Greg Hunt said about 80,000 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine would arrive in Australia "before the end of the week, if not earlier."

BEIJING -- The Chinese mainland reported eight new imported COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 4,869, the National Health Commission said in its daily report Monday.

Four imported cases were reported in Guangdong, and one each in Tianjin, Shanghai, Henan and Shaanxi, said the commission.

ADDIS ABABA -- Ethiopia reported 788 new COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, taking the national tally to 147,092, the Ministry of Health said on Sunday.

The death toll from COVID-19 rose to 2,194 after 13 new fatalities were recorded, the ministry said. Enditem
