LONDON, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.56 percent, or 37.96 points, to close at 6,710.90 points.
Antofagasta, a copper mining company, soared 4.80 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Hikma and Rolls-Royce Holdings increased by 2.40 percent and 2.36 percent, respectively.
Hargreaves Lansdown, a financial service company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 6.87 percent. M&G, an international investment manager, dropped 5.07 percent. British American Tobacco, a tobacco group, fell 3.95 percent. Enditem
