MACAO -- A total of 90,615 visitors arrived in Macao during the Spring Festival holiday from Feb. 11 to 17, a drop of 65.3 percent year on year, the Macao Government Tourism Office said on Friday.

HONG KONG -- The first batch of mainland-manufactured COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Hong Kong on Friday afternoon, which, as the first vaccines available here, will enable the financial hub to start inoculating its residents next week.

JAKARTA -- Indonesia's Mount Merapi volcano erupted on Friday, emitting incandescent lava 15 times as far as 1,000 meters from 00:00 a.m. to 06:00 a.m. local time, said the Geological Disaster Technology Research and Development Center.

JAKARTA -- The confirmed COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 10,614 in the past 24 hours to 1,263,299, with the death toll adding by 183 to 34,152, the country's Health Ministry said on Friday.
