MANILA -- DITO Telecommunity Corp., one of the major telecom players in the Philippines, is all set for commercial rollout on March 8, the company said on Tuesday.

JAKARTA -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 9,775 within one day to 1,298,608, with the death toll adding by 323 to 35,014, the health ministry said on Tuesday.

CANBERRA -- Social media giant Facebook will end its ban on Australian news after the government agreed to amendments to its media bargaining code.

Under the amendments, technology giants including Facebook and Google would be forced to pay Australian media organizations for their content.

BANGKOK -- Thailand has approved Sinovac Biotech's COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use, paving the way for the country to receive its first vaccine shipment of 200,000 doses from the Chinese biopharmaceutical firm Wednesday.
