FRANKFURT, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 85.23 points, or 0.61 percent, to close at 13,864.81 points.
Deutsche Post lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.38 percent, followed by semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies and automotive manufacturer BMW, which lost 3.14 percent and 2.74 percent respectively.
German insurance and financial services company Allianz, multinational chemical firm Linde and Deutsche Bank were the top three winners, rising 1.71 percent, 1.60 percent and 1.32 percent respectively.
Multinational software corporation SAP was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 358.67 million euros (435.53 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 6.43 percent to close at 2.08 euros per share on Tuesday. Enditem
