German shares close 0.67 pct lower

FRANKFURT, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 93.04 points, or 0.67 percent, to close at 13,786.29 points.

Deutsche Bank lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.50 percent, followed by personal-care company Beiersdorf and material manufacturer Covestro, which shed 3.15 percent and 3.01 percent respectively.

Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and European health care company Fresenius SE were the top three winners, adding 1.84 percent, 1.13 percent and 0.62 percent respectively.

German insurance and financial services company Allianz was the most traded share of the day, with a turnover of 386.37 million euros (468.32 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 10.20 percent to close at 1.886 euros per share on Friday. Enditem
