WASHINGTON -- Three people on a single-engine plane were killed Friday as the aircraft crashed into a ravine shortly after takeoff in Gainesville, Georgia, local media reported citing authorities.

Hall County Fire Services spokesman Zach Brackett was quoted by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) as saying all the three adult occupants of the plane died in the tragedy. (US-Plane Crash)

MEXICO CITY -- Haitian authorities said Friday that 25 people died during a prison breakout at the Croix-des-Bouquets prison near the capital on Thursday, according to local media.

ABUJA -- Nigerian authorities on Friday ordered the closure of all boarding schools in the northwestern state of Zamfara after the abduction of 317 students by gunmen in the state.

BUENOS AIRES -- Argentine Health Minister Carla Vizzotti on Friday said she had tested positive for COVID-19 and entered quarantine.

"I want to tell you that I did a swab as part of the procedure required to enter Congress on March 1, and they informed me of the positive result. Therefore, I will be quarantining over the next few days, following the established protocol," she posted to Twitter. (Argentina-COVID-19) Enditem
