BRATISLAVA, March 2 (Xinhua) -- HK Dukla Michalovce secured its 12th win in the Slovak ice hockey league Tipos Extraliga after beating Hungarian side DVTK Miskolc 5-1 on Tuesday.

DVTK Miskolc traveled to Michalovce with only three complete formations and made it way too easy for the home team to achieve a 12th consecutive victory. The home team's Finnish forward Matias Lehtonen scored his first two goals since transferring from Tappara Tampere in the middle of February.

After losing two games in a row and surrendering the top spot to Zvolen, HK Poprad beat HC Mikron Nove Zamky 3-1. The league's top scorer Marcel Hascak added another goal to this season's collection, expanding his total to 34 after a successful second-period powerplay for Poprad.

Elsewhere, HKM Zvolen lost to HK Nitra 3-2; HC Slovan Bratislava claimed a 5-3 victory over HC Kosice; HC '05 Banska Bystrica lost to HC 07 Detva 6-2; and HK 32 Liptovsky Mikulas lost to HK Dukla Trencin 6-2.

Poprad now stand in top place on 87 points with Michalovce in second leveling on total points but with an inferior goal difference. Enditem
