Live COVID-19 updates: Chinese-donated COVID-19 vaccines arrive in Guinea

BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

CONAKRY -- A batch of China-donated COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Conakry, capital of Guinea, on Wednesday.

Guinean Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibrahima Khalil Kaba, Guinean Minister of Health Remy Lamah and Chinese Ambassador to Guinea Huang Wei attended the handover ceremony held at the airport.

JAKARTA -- As many as 13 more overseas Indonesians have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total cases in this group to 3,703, according to the Foreign Ministry on Thursday.

Of the new cases, 12 were reported in South Korea and one in Jordan.

MOSCOW -- Russia registered 11,385 more COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, up from 10,535 a day earlier, the country's COVID-19 response center said Thursday.

The national tally has thus increased to 4,290,135 with 87,823 deaths and 3,869,857 recoveries, the center said.

MINSK -- Belarus reported 1,174 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking its total to 291,621, according to the country's health ministry.

There have been 1,273 new recoveries in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 282,039, the ministry added.

DHAKA -- Bangladesh reported 619 new COVID-19 cases and seven new deaths on Thursday, bringing the tally to 548,549 and death toll to 8,435, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

The official data showed that 15,985 samples were tested in the last 24 hours across Bangladesh. Enditem
