SUVA, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The South Pacific island nation of Vanuatu reported on Saturday two new COVID-19 cases.

According to Radio New Zealand (RNZ), Vanuatu's Prime Minister Bob Loughman said late Saturday that the two new cases were expatriates, a man and a woman and they came to Vanuatu on a chartered flight last month.

Vanuatu has since March last year closed its borders to prevent the virus from entering the island nation but it allowed in strictly controlled repatriation flights later last year. Enditem
