BUENOS AIRES, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Central Cordoba moved to within two points of Group A leaders Colon with a 2-1 victory at Aldosivi in Argentina's Primera Division on Friday.
Leonardo Sequeira gave the visitors an early lead by intercepting an errant Colon pass inside the center circle and surging forward before calmly chipping goalkeeper Luciano Pocrnjic.
Federico Andrada equalized four minutes later when he headed in an Emanuel Insua cross from the left.
The hosts were forced to play for almost an hour with only 10 men after Colombian defender Dixon Renteria was shown a second yellow card for a rash tackle.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Aldosivi pulled a goal back through Cristian Vega on the stroke of halftime.
But Central Cordoba defended resolutely in the second half to secure their third win from five matches this campaign. Aldosivi is eighth, with just one victory and a draw so far.
Meanwhile, Lanus remained top of Group B despite a goalless draw at Huracan. Lanus have three wins and a draw to date and is one point ahead of second-placed Union Santa Fe. Huracan is ninth with four draws and a defeat. Enditem
