BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 21 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported one new confirmed case of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing its total tally to 206.
According to its Ministry of Health, the new case is a 46-year-old man who arrived in Brunei from Indonesia on March 7. The contact tracing has found two close contacts for this case and the results of their swab tests are negative with COVID-19.
The new patient is being treated and monitored in the National Isolation Center along with 14 other active cases, who are all in a stable condition.
With detection of the new case, a total of 65 imported cases have been confirmed in the Asian country since the last local infection was reported on May 6, 2020. Brunei has recorded 319 days without local COVID-19 cases.
There have been three deaths reported from the COVID-19 pandemic so far in Brunei and a total of 188 patients have recovered. Enditem
