MANILA -- Philippine troops have killed at least 16 suspected terrorists in a weeklong offensive in the south Philippines' Maguindanao province, the military said on Wednesday.

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan -- At least 22 Taliban militants and two security forces members were killed in separate incidents in northern Afghanistan, authorities said Wednesday.
