NEW DELHI -- India's COVID-19 tally crossed 12 million mark, reaching 12,039,644 on Monday as 68,020 new cases were reported across the country, the highest daily spike this year, according to the latest figures released by the federal health ministry.

JAKARTA -- Three people went missing and 19 others were wounded with five of them suffering serious injuries, and nearly 1,000 residents living nearby were evacuated following a massive blaze at an oil refinery in Indonesia's West Java province after midnight Monday, officials said.

SYDNEY -- Australia's third largest city of Brisbane will enter a three-day lockdown from 5:00 p.m. local time Monday as locally-acquired COVID-19 cases continued to grow with some cases' origin unknown.

The state of Queensland, with Brisbane as the capital city, recorded on Monday four local cases and six cases from returned travelers in hotel quarantine out of 11,626 tests conducted in the past 24 hours, which made the active cases in the state to 73. (Australia-Brisbane-Lockdown)

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 384 more cases of COVID-19 as of midnight Sunday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 102,141.
