PHNOM PENH, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia on Saturday confirmed another 99 local COVID-19 cases linked to the Feb. 20 community transmission, bringing the total to 2,116 so far, said a Ministry of Health (MoH) statement.
Of the new cases, 44 were found in Svay Rieng province, 33 in capital Phnom Penh, eight in Koh Kong province, five in Kandal province, four in Preah Sihanouk province, four in Tboung Khmum province and one in Takeo province.
The Southeast Asian country also reported the recovery of 329 COVID-19 patients, it added.
The kingdom has officially registered a total of 2,645 confirmed COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic in January last year, with 19 fatalities and 1,036 remaining hospitalized, the statement said.
Cambodia began an anti-COVID-19 inoculation drive on Feb. 10. As of Friday, some 476,000 people in priority groups had been vaccinated against the virus, a government report showed. Enditem
