GAZA -- The besieged Gaza Strip on Wednesday inaugurated a China-funded solar power plant in a children's hospital.

The solar power plant project, which can provide 30 KW of electricity to Al-Durrah Children Hospital in Gaza city, was implemented through Give Palestine Association, a charitable organization in the coastal enclave. (Gaza-China-Solar)

BAGHDAD -- The United States and Iraq agreed on Wednesday to redeploy the remaining U.S.-led coalition combat troops outside Iraq in light of the increasing capacity of the Iraqi security forces in fighting against the extremist Islamic State (IS) group, said a joint statement on the U.S.-Iraq Strategic Dialogue.

The joint statement said that the Iraqi delegation was led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, while the U.S. delegation was led by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. (Iraq-U.S.-Forces)

TEHRAN -- Iran has increased its uranium enrichment capacity to 16,500 separative work units (SWUs), Ali Akbar Salehi, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), announced on Wednesday, official Islamic Republic News agency reported.

BAGHDAD -- A total of 60 militants of the Islamic State (IS) group were killed in earlier airstrikes in a mountainous area in Salahudin province, north of Iraq's capital Baghdad, the Iraqi military said on Wednesday.

The Iraqi aircraft, in coordination with the Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS), conducted airstrikes on IS hideouts on March 25 in Himreen mountain range, leaving 60 IS militants killed, Yahia Rasoul, spokesman of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi forces, said in a statement.
