German shares up 0.17 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, April 8 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 26.32 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 15,202.68 points.

European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.50 percent. Sportswear and equipment maker Adidas and energy group RWE rose by 2.31 percent and 2.12 percent respectively.

Material manufacturer Covestro lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 2.38 percent. Automotive manufacturer Daimler and chemical group BASF went down by 1.85 percent and 1.24 percent respectively.

Multinational software corporation SAP was the most-traded share with a turnover of 317.86 million euros (377.40 million U.S. dollars).

China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 0.02 percent to close at 2.020 euros per share. Enditem
