KHARTOUM -- Sudan on Thursday reiterated keenness to reach a deal over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) that satisfies all parties.

"We reaffirm Sudan's firm and vigorous keenness to reach an agreement that satisfies all parties and preserves their interests, including Ethiopia's right to development, on the condition that a binding agreement is signed on filling and operation of the Renaissance Dam and in accordance with what was agreed upon in the (2015) Declaration of Principles," said Sudan's Foreign Ministry in a statement. DAMASCUS -- The Syrian Foreign Ministry on Thursday urged the UN Security Council to take "decisive and immediate measures to prevent the repetition of Israeli attacks on the Syrian territory," state news agency SANA reported.

In a statement, the ministry highlighted the need to hold Israel accountable for its "terrorism and crimes committed against the Syrian and Palestinian peoples and its continuous support for terrorist organizations." (Syria-UN-Israeli Attacks)

JERUSALEM -- Israel said on Thursday that it will formally reject the International Criminal Court (ICC) investigation into possible war crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.

TEHRAN -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday accused the United States of blocking Iran's access to 10 million doses of coronavirus vaccine by pressuring the companies involved in supplying the vaccine to Iran.
