CHICAGO, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Two videos of Chicago police's fatal shooting of a 13-year-old boy on March 29 was released on Thursday.

The material released to the public includes images from police officers' body-worn cameras, a video shot from a nearby building, police radio recordings and police reports, Chicago Tribune reported on Thursday.

The video from the body-worn camera of the officer who fired the shot shows police officers chased 13-year-old Adam Toledo down an alley on the west side of Chicago in the early morning of March 29. The teen was seen stopping near an opening in a fence as he turned and appeared to start lifting his hands when a shot was heard.

A pistol-shaped object appeared to be visible in Toledo's right hand behind his back on a frame-by-frame viewing, as he paused near the opening in the fence and turned his head toward the officer.

His hands appeared to be empty at the moment the officer shot him in the video. Later, an officer was seen shining a flashlight onto a pistol behind the fence where Toledo had been standing.

In another video recorded by a camera across a nearby parking lot, aimed at the alley from behind the fence, the teen can be seen running down the alley from a distance, stopping at the gap where he was eventually shot.

His right arm can be seen moving behind the fence, making a throw motion toward the area where the gun was later recovered, just before he turned back toward the officer and slumped to the ground.

Toledo was shot in the chest, said the police, after officers responded to gunshots.

Before the videos were released, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot told a press conference on Thursday that the video of Toledo's fatal shooting by police was "incredibly difficult to watch." Enditem
