KHARTOUM -- The Sudanese government on Monday officially approved a bill canceling the law on boycotting Israel.

"Today a draft bill abolishing the law on boycotting Israel was approved in a joint meeting for the Sovereign Council and the Council of Ministers," said Justice Minister Nasr-Eddin Abdul-Bari on his Twitter account.

Earlier in the day, Chairman of Sudan's Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan chaired a joint meeting for the council and the cabinet at the presidential palace in the capital Khartoum. (Sudan-Israel-Ties)

RABAT -- The Moroccan navy rescued over the weekend 165 Spain-bound migrants in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, official news agency MAP reported Monday.

Among the rescued migrants were 103 sub-Saharan people, 34 Moroccans, 27 Bangladeshis and one Burmese, MAP said, quoting a military source.

They were experiencing difficulties aboard several makeshift boats sailing in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, it added. (Morocco-Migrants-Rescue)

CAIRO -- Egyptian police killed on Monday three terrorists who were involved in the execution of a Coptic Christian and two tribesmen in Egypt's Sinai, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.

After receiving a tip-off, the national security sector struck a hideout of some terrorist elements in al-Abtal area in North Sinai.

"The suspected elements were planning to carry out terrorist operations against some Coptic people, their properties, headquarters of the police and armed forces," the statement said. (Egypt-Terrorists-Police)
