ISLAMABAD -- Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is scheduled to pay a three-day official visit to Iran from Tuesday to discuss bilateral relations, the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said in a statement on Tuesday.

The ministry said Qureshi will have delegation-level talks with his Iranian counterpart to review the bilateral relations with a view to further deepening bilateral cooperation in diverse fields. (Pakistan-Iran-Visit)

MANILA -- The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines surged to 953,106 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 7,379 new cases on Tuesday.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on Tuesday said he greatly valued China's leading role in helping other countries to prevent and combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

HERAT, Afghanistan -- Three people, including an assailant, were killed and three others wounded when a suicide car bomb rocked a police station in Afghanistan's western province of Herat early Tuesday, the provincial governor confirmed.

"The incident occurred outside police station of Ghoryan district, in the western part of Herat roughly at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday local time," Governor Sayyed Waheed Qatali told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Car bomb) Enditem
