FRANKFURT, April 26 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 16.72 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 15,296.34 points.
Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.85 percent. Deutsche Bank and material manufacturer Covestro rose by 2.61 percent and 2.10 percent respectively.
Deutsche Boerse group, a marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities, lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 1.13 percent. Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and Siemens Energy shed 0.89 percent and 0.82 percent respectively.
Volkswagen was the most-traded share with a turnover of 242.31 million euros (292.83 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, lost 0.53 percent to close at 1.880 euros per share on Monday. Enditem
