JAKARTA -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 4,656 within one day to 1,651,794, with the death toll adding by 168 to 44,939, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, 4,884 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 1,506,599. (Indonesia-COVID-19)

NEW DELHI -- India's federal government on Tuesday said it has imported 20 cryogenic tankers and allocated them to states in a bid to address the shortage of oxygen tankers, officials said.

"To address shortage of oxygen tankers in the country, government has imported 20 cryogenic tankers of 10 MT and 20 MT capacity and allocated them to states," a statement issued by the federal health ministry said. (India-Oxygen Tankers)

BANGKOK -- Thailand registered 15 COVID-19 related deaths over the last 24 hours, the highest single-day number since the pandemic began, the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said Tuesday.

MANILA -- One pilot was killed and three crew members were injured as a Philippine Air Force (PAF) helicopter crashed into the waters off Getafe town in central Philippine Bohol province on Tuesday morning, the military said.

NEW DELHI -- The Chinese government and people firmly support the Indian government and people in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy to India Counselor Wang Xiaojian said.
