LONDON, May 5 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up by 1.68 percent, or 116.13 points, to close at 7,039.30 points.
Anglo American, a globally diversified mining business, soared 6.29 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. CRH and BHP Group increased by 5.34 percent and 4.99 percent, respectively.
