FRANKFURT, May 6 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged up on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 25.96 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 15,196.74 points.
Reinsurance company Munich Re won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.31 percent. Aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero and material manufacturer Covestro rose by 1.93 percent and 1.38 percent respectively.
Energy division of Siemens Group Siemens Energy lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 4.62 percent. German insurance and financial services company Allianz and renal dialysis equipment supplier Fresenius Medical went down by 3.97 percent and 2.88 percent respectively.
Automotive manufacturer Volkswagen was the most-traded share with a turnover of 375.29 million euros (452.60 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 3.61 percent to close at 1.760 euros per share on Thursday. Enditem
