ANKARA -- Turkey's central bank on Thursday kept its benchmark interest rate, one-week repo auction rate, unchanged at 19 percent and pledged to maintain its current policy stance until there is a significant drop in inflation.

"Taking into account the high levels of inflation and inflation expectations, the current monetary policy stance will be maintained until the significant fall in the April Inflation Report forecast path is achieved," the bank said in a statement. (Turkey-Bank-Interest)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese caretaker Interior Minister Mohammad Fahmi vowed on Thursday to facilitate Syrian refugees' participation in the upcoming Syrian presidential election.

ISTANBUL -- Over 10 million Turkish citizens have received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the ongoing nationwide vaccination program, the Health Ministry's data showed on Thursday.

AMMAN -- Jordan on Thursday offered a tender for transporting crude oil from Iraq to the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company.

Under the tender, the winning bidder will transport 10,000 barrels per day (BPD) of crude oil from Iraq to the refinery, which is Jordan's sole refinery located in the Zarqa governorate. (Jordan-Iraq-Oil) Enditem
