CAIRO -- Egyptian Health Minister Hala Zayed said on Sunday that Egypt will start locally producing China's Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in June.

During a press conference in Cairo, the minister said that the first 2 million doses will be produced in June at the plants of the Egyptian Holding Company for Biological Products and Vaccines (VACSERA). (Egypt-China-Vaccine Production)

KUWAIT CITY -- Kuwait launched on Sunday the second phase of the COVID-19 field vaccination campaign that provides vaccines for workers of shopping malls in the country.

Abdullah Al-Sanad, spokesman of the Kuwaiti Health Ministry, said in a press statement that this campaign comes within the efforts of the ministry to combat the spread of coronavirus in the country. (Kuwait-COVID19-Vaccination)

RIYADH -- Saudi Arabia has announced its plan to hold Hajj ritual this year in a manner that ensures preserving health and safety of the pilgrims, the Saudi Press Agency reported Sunday.

AMMAN -- Jordan on Sunday decided to reduce curfew hours as the kingdom's epidemiological situation improved, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

The government announced that the public would be allowed to move from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m., while establishments will be restricted between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., starting from the first day of Eid al-Fitr that marks the end of the Ramadan. (Jordan-COVID19) Enditem
