ISLAMABAD, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan recorded a 15-percent increase in exports to Afghanistan during the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2021, compared with last fiscal year, Abdul Razak Dawood, advisor to Pakistani prime minister for commerce and investment, said on Monday.
The country's exports to Afghanistan during July-April (2020-21) were recorded at 869 million U.S. dollars against the exports of 754 million U.S. dollars during July-April (2019-20), Dawood said on Twitter.
He said the exports of fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, chemicals, electrical equipment, machinery, paper and paperboard have contributed to the increase.
"We continue to encourage legal, secure, transparent, consistent and reliable trade with Afghanistan. Exporters are urged to aggressively market their exports to Afghanistan," the official added. Enditem
