BRUSSELS -- The negotiations in Vienna to revitalize the Iran nuclear deal are progressing, the top diplomat of the European Union (EU) said on Monday, as he expressed cautious optimism for an agreement to be reached.

Josep Borrell, the EU's high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, told a press conference after a meeting of foreign ministers of the EU member states, that he hoped there will be "non-stop" talks in Vienna to try to clinch a breakthrough on bringing the United States back to the nuclear deal with Iran. CHICAGO -- U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Monday authorized the emergency use of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in adolescents aged 12-15 for the prevention of COVID-19 vaccine caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

The FDA has determined that Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine has met the statutory criteria to amend the emergency use authorization (EUA), and that the known and potential benefits of this vaccine in individuals 12 years of age and older outweigh the known and potential risks, FDA said in a news released posted on its website on Monday. BRUSSELS -- The contract between the European Union (EU) and vaccine manufacturer AstraZeneca is valid until all COVID-19 doses set in the contract have been delivered, said an EU spokesperson on Monday.

"The contract remains in force until the last doses are delivered," said Stefan de Keersmaecker, European Commission spokesperson for health, quoting a clause of the contract. (EU-AstraZeneca Contract)

BAGHDAD -- U.S. experts and advisers for F-16 fighter jets withdrew from Balad Air Base after a series of rocket attacks targeted the air base in Iraq's Salahudin province, Iraqi sources said on Monday.
